Alpha Arbutin–found to be 9 times more effective than the common beta form of arbutin in inhibiting the enzyme tyrosinase , the main enzyme in the biosynthesis of the melanin pigments. The reason for this high effectivity is better affinity and better interaction with the enzyme. Alpha Arbutin is also more effective in lightening the skin than Kojic acid.
In addition, the product contains a very high concentration of a unique compound (a very stable oil soluble form) of vitamin C.
